1οΈβ£ UPDATE YOUR NODE: The previously used Resistance core expired at block 804160. To continue using Resistance technology, you need to update the node.

Invoke "git pull" in the directory you had previously used "git clone" into, or do a fresh "git clone https://github.com/ResistancePlatform/resistance-core".

Additional detail:
The old Resistance core had a documented deprecation feature inherited from Zcash. The feature was intended to facilitate reliable hard-forks at specific points such as to fix critical security issues and implement planned network upgrades. In Resistance, we planned to use it e.g. for occasional PoW scheme upgrades to discourage ASICs, this threat never materialized, so we did not use this option.
Resistance went through a few core deprecations and their corresponding required node upgrades before. It just went through its final one (at block 804160), after which point there's no longer a deprecation scheduled. (If Resistance does need a hard-fork for whatever reason later, there are other ways to implement that.)
We also made use of this final opportunity to complete the masternode reward removal at this specific convenient time (activated after block 805000, thus when the network reliably has the updated nodes only) to avoid having to do a separate update later (which would also be less reliable).
The updated Resistance core was released on GitHub and installed on critical parts of the infrastructure slightly in advance, at around block 800000. Thus, the network proceeded through blocks 804160 and 805000 without interruption.

This initial grant covers the research required to begin development of the Resistance Liquidity Pool and includes a reward of 145,600 RES.

π₯ As we finalize the decentralization process, we would like to announce an important step forward that will help make Resistance one of the most crucial decentralized projects out there. π₯
We aim to develop a series of liquidity pools that will provide liquidity to ResDEX and launch our new DeFi governance token that will be awarded to liquidity providers.
π When users deposit funds into one of our liquidity poolsβe.g. for the ETH/USDT pair providing both ETH and USDT in equivalent amountsβthey will receive a reward in ETH and USDT, as well as our DeFi governance token.
This token will be acquired using 50% of the exchange fee donated by ResDEX to the liquidity pools. The fee is used to buy RES from the open market. That RES is burnt and the governance token given to the liquidity pools instead at a ratio of 1,000 RES = 1 governance token.π
To summarize, liquidity providers will receive the native tokens plus our governance token as a bonus.
If you burn RES this will mean there is less of it on the market which in turn should be good for Resistance infrastructure. More information on how this governance token will be used is coming.
Funding: Half of the ResDEX fee will be donated to the liquidity pools. There will also be a new token β a Resistance governance token, ERC-20-based, and potentially pegged to 1,000 RES (1,000 RES = 1 governance token).
What do we need:
Build the first ETH/USDT liquidity pool and integrate it into ResDEX GUI.
There will be a full grant proposal following shortly that will be posted on our GitHub.
This will be the biggest grant reward we have EVER posted, so be prepared!
