Hello YOM Family👋!
The past two weeks were full of excitement and travel. Without spending too much time on the introduction, let me jump right into the bullet points from the past two weeks!

🛠 Key ecosystem updates 🛠
• We solidified our partnership with Flux, who are making virtual machines available in many regions in the world, allowing us to quickly scale up our network to provide coverage when needed.

• Consensus2024 included a lot of DePIN projects and afforded us a chance to present to a room of VCs, leading to many conversations that are ongoing. For a deeper dive, I’d point you to the newest article on our Medium.

• The planning for the node sale is in full swing. We’ve mapped out the User Journey for the introduction and due diligence needed for securing a node purchase, and are filling in all the values and steps for the final Node Sale Roadmap. I can’t put a date on releasing it, but it is in the works.

Thanks is the fast summary of the past few weeks from a CXO perspective. Obviously we encourage everyone to stay in touch via our socials, and expect that our community will continue to grow as we push our partnership sphere wider. 🚀

• Pixelstreaming Library Advances
We've rolled out significant updates to our pixelstreaming library, including an enriched UI that unlocks new possibilities for our studios. These enhancements facilitate a broader range of interactions and functionalities within our streaming environment. The CI/CD pipeline for this library has been optimized for smoother deployments, ensuring that updates are seamless and reliable.

• Bots as Simulated Players
Our new bot integration features server-side AI characters designed to simulate real players for stress testing. This development is crucial for ensuring that our systems can handle real-world operating conditions without compromise.

• Enhanced Security and Flexibility with God Mode
We've introduced 'God Mode' as part of our authorization mechanism for streaming events. This feature allows developers and admins greater flexibility to run scripts and manage events at runtime, fostering an open and adaptable ecosystem.

• Integration of Stripe for Seamless Transactions
Stripe has been implemented as our payment solution, streamlining the transaction process for studios, IPs, and brands. With this integration, 60% of the transaction value is converted into $YOM and redistributed to our nodes, while 3% is burned, contributing to the economic stability and growth of the YOM ecosystem.

• YOM OS and Hardware Implementation
We've begun deploying our first batch of hardware, equipped with YOM OS and 1TB of storage, offering a plug-and-play solution for node operators. This setup is designed to enhance the ease of starting and streaming on YOM, significantly lowering the barrier to entry for new node operators.

ECOSYSTEM UPDATE

I do like the term brobdingnagian, but don’t get much call to use it. Though for this past 2 weeks, it’s pretty fair to say the progress has been …semi-brobdingnagian.

🛠 Key ecosystem updates 🛠

• We have been invited to present at Concensus2024 in Austin next week at the DePIN event by the sponsors Outlier Ventures and Peaq. How close does that get us to a larger partnership? … Exciting to speculate.
• We’ve entered more partnerships, like Cluster Protocol who will be helping with scaling out our DePIN prior to and in support of the individual node launch. Similar support projects are in the pipeline to add to Cluster and Origin Storage to increase our regional coverage.
• The Blockchain Gaming Alliance membership has been paying dividends, opening up the door to a huge stack of companies working on games and looking for a better funnel, which we know YOM and URL hosting will be.
• And the CXO Medium articles have attracted attention from major potential partners such as animation studios, who are seeing the promise of all these new forms of entertainment that our tech will unlock. More on those announcements in the coming weeks.
• We will be in the AMA X Space with the team from Grand Gangsta City, reaching their community as we talk about gaming and web3 later today. Link HERE.
So huge, huge week for us. The tech team has been working on some amazing tests to help me show off our technology while at Consensus next week, but I won’t steal their thunder, they can talk about it in next week’s post.

Virtual full-body tutorials are on the way, and YOM has the technology to support their arrival. 🕺

The YOM DePIN Brings Possibilities

YOM is creating a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that enables 3D interactive projects built in Unreal Engine to be streamed at low latency and near zero costs to any devices through web browsers. 🌐

Full- Body Tutorials Unlock Action 💥

The concept of a virtual full-body tutorial will likely be further developed to include game mechanics as a way to drive engagement and provide rewards. Creating a series of moves that flow together as a collection, and encouraging users to ‘collect them all’ is certainly likely to happen. 🕹

Breaking Through 🔥

With the cost of hosting greatly reduced through the YOM DePIN and with increased ease of development enabled by the tool suite in Unreal, it can be expected that full-body tutorials will take hold. CXO here, providing this week’s update for a few reasons. 📋
There has been so much going on, I asked to co-opt the weekly progress report away from the dev team to get some progress out from the company and experience side. And, as the dev team is generally in the Netherlands and it’s a holiday weekend there, they couldn’t really object.

🛠 Key Product Updates 🛠

• Met with 5 different marketing/PR groups, deciding in the next week who we team with. It’ll get busy fast after that.
• Origin Storage partnership announced, adding 5000 nodes to the DePIN. Expect more like this.
• An Opportunity Deck has been made available to our studio partners to help their pitch to brands, to move past Fortnite or RoBlox mentality. 👉 See that deck here. 👈
• The Token 2049 trip continues to bring value. Our week was filled with follow on meetings from connections made then. The producer part of me appreciates the ROI of the trip.

The first project we found a common vision with was GamerHub. GamerHub is both a game aggregator and an AI technology project. They are integrating advanced AI technologies into the core of the gaming industry with features like player preference and developer assistance, all with the goal of making engaging interactive content easier to construct.🤖

The second project we announced this week was Matrix One. Matrix One is AI infrastructure built to enable the creation of human-like AI characters. It provides developers a set of tools and their end users an intuitive interface, which we could expect will lead to a great deal of user generated AI characters with many personalities and specialized skill sets imbued in them.🛠

Here's what happened behind the scenes: our team updated the pipeline to build the SDK and share the precompiled files, which studios can use to build their experiences locally. This will make the process much smoother and more efficient for everyone involved.
• We've also been busy updating our documentation to include the latest information on Node Sales, DePin architecture, and Rewards. We want to ensure that you have access to the most up-to-date information, so you can make informed decisions and get the most out of our platform.
• In our ongoing efforts to support studios and clients, we've been exploring ways to help them stress test their experiences and share stats about their performance. Today it's time again for our weekly end of week recap 🎉, the team have prepared these key updates:

🛠 Key Product Updates 🛠
• We're excited to welcome Jorn Veen (@Jornveen) to our Tech team as a full-time member. Jorn will be focusing on everything related to Unreal Engine, including assisting Studios and Clients with integrating our YOM SDK into their experiences. He'll also be working on adding new features and optimizing the SDK to make it even better.
• We've made some improvements to the SDK by fine-tuning the controls specifically for Mobile devices. This should make the user experience smoother and more enjoyable on smartphones and tablets.
• Our team is making great progress in upgrading our support for Unreal Engine 5.3. We're estimating that we'll be able to release the updated SDK by next week, so keep an eye out for that!
• The latest version of our Streamer library seems to be working well. The next step is to test it with an Unreal Engine 5.3 experience to ensure compatibility and performance.

Our Leadership team is currently attending Token2049 😊, and they're having a fantastic time networking and spreading the word about what YOM does.💡 They're particularly excited to share how our technology can significantly reduce streaming costs to nearly zero through our DePIN network. 🚀
