Hey guys, we just wanted to deliver a message regarding the project and it’s current state. Nate and Gene started FireZard with high hopes and intentions to make this much bigger than just a crypto project. We had multiple hiccups and setbacks along the way but pushed through to launch successfully and develop our dApp which we’re very proud of achieving.

We have had to think about what is possible for the future and what is realistic. Based on calculations the current taxes and tokens that have built up equate to less than 10 BNB. We intended on spending this on marketing for the project, but realistically, even at 10 times this amount this just isn’t going to make the tiniest scratch in the crypto space. Not to mention anything worthwhile these days (crypto callers etc) will not touch an "old" project that lacks a mooning chart.

We spent over 70k, probably much more if we count everything on marketing during the first few months and at least another 60k on development overall. We thought this would at least carry us to a better position but It did not. Even projects that had budgets close to half a million have now suffered the same fate and those projects launched when we did. We wanted to focus on quality and usecase, thinking this would carry us into the future much better than just hype but we have learned that the crypto space values hype over quality. It’s a constant marketing battle, a race with whoever has the deepest pockets that inevitably ends in the same way for most projects.

For anyone that wishes to throw the word "scam" or "rug" out there, we have not made a single dime from creating this project. Believe us when we say we poured blood, sweat and tears into this project. 20-30k of personal funds were invested in this at the start before we even launched our private sale and we haven’t even seen half of that back as we reinvested everything to try to keep this going and had big development/marketing expenses which we've had to pay off to this day. We thought our unique and cool idea of bringing something like Pokemon to the crypto space would attract and keep a lot of interest, but it has become quite clear that the only thing that matters is how many X’s a token can do. (Our most recent feedback survey also confirms this)

With that being said, everything still works as intended. Instead of spending the reward pool taxes on marketing, we’ll be adding this back to the reward pool and giving back to you guys what’s left so you can mint and get the remaining BNB as it comes in.

The vision we had planned is much different to how things have turned out, but the timing of the launch combined with the events that happened have led us to the situation we’re in now. We thank and appreciate those that stick through with us as a community. It's wrong that the diamond handed investors are still not the ones who are paid off. You can continue to mint NFTs on our dApp and collect/trade/sell them on various marketplaces if you wish. At this stage all we can do is sit tight. There will be no re-launch as we feel this just isn’t ethical after seeing how the crypto space works. We have decided to take a step back from crypto for the time being.

As we continue to progress and grow as a project we are beginning to understand the economics and logistics of our unique system. It is apparent to a lot of people that the BNB rewards pool isn't as full as it should be.

Just know the team is well aware and are working together with marketing and PR to bring volume and hype to this awesome project. In the meantime as a project and community we need to find ways to make the system more sustainable especially in the shorter term. The price of BNB has almost halved since we launched and the market recently hasn't helped our case.

We will be beginning by assessing the rewards themselves. We feel that the jump between SR and UR is too far but we also want to avoid reducing rates so much that cards become almost impossible to pull, making the thrill and excitement of opening packs less fun for everyone. With this in mind we believe the best decision moving forward is to make UR's 1 BNB while we keep all other rarities the same. In hindsight, 5 BNB was too big of a reward for a single card but we were too caught up in the "Diamond in the rough" mindset.

This decision will both ease stress on our Treasury, keep UR rates the same and also allow us to continue to provide our community with a guaranteed 0.1 BNB for every multi 10-Zard summon.

✅ Regarding our dApp, we have found the source of the downgraded NFT's issue and this fix is effective immediately. We are now continuing development with the claim button and 4 step minting process.

We understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback and support. This is a passion project, not a short term pump and dump token. Let's continue to make 2022 the year of the Zard!

🛠MAINTENANCE UPDATE 🛠

✅ Everyone's collections should now be working and show all NFT's due to our inventory backend update. You should also notice now that all your NFT's show a reward underneath along with the a "Claimed" or "Not Claimed" tag. We are in the process of adding a button for the unclaimed NFT's where users will be able to claim directly from the collection page.

✅ Our smart contracts can now be updated without service interruption from now on.

✅ Minting has been resumed with rewards. Please note that the minting process itself has not changed. If you error out before minting NFT's and lose $FLAME, you will have to reach out to either @Ceviz53 or @Fallinghawk to have you added to the compensation spreadsheet which will be processed at a later date. Our suggestion is to continue to wait until we deliver the 4 step method through GUI.

A little update as we head into the new week 🔥

First of all thank you to those who attended our first Twitter Space AMA yesterday! We had some great questions from the team and community. Also a big congratulations to those who took away a share of the $500 USD reward 💰

Now onto our dApp ⬇️

We've currently updated the front end to reflect all the new smart contracts that were deployed recently. We're still in the process of fixing the issue with the Treasury. This is proving to be more time intensive than first thought however is extremely important in preventing those who have minted NFT's already to double up on their BNB rewards.

We are also excited to share that we're updating the way minting works to improve reliability. Instead of the minting process bringing up multiple transactions and the whole process failing if one fails, we'll be splitting the process into 4 steps through our GUI and incorporating a button for each step. We plan to have these "auto click" as long as the process goes in which incase one step errors, the user can manually click what is left.

We are confident this will alleviate many of the issues people have been facing.

We've successfully deployed all new smart contracts to the BSC mainnet. This process took longer than expected due to BSC lag/maintenance and the smart contracts not being grabbed for hours.

We are now going through the process of implementing everything into our dApp's UI and transferring information on already claimed/ minted NFT's to ensure there are no double ups.

🛠Update from the development team 🛠

1️⃣ We were preparing smart contracts and backend libraries to deliver the list of tokens per user in an efficient way and meanwhile, have discovered one loophole that has been number one priority in fixing.

2️⃣ We are preparing a solution that enables automatic replacement and updates of smart contracts. Thus, we can replace smart contract without service interruption. This activity is directly linked with the first one above, since it is about replacing smart contracts in a lifetime.

3️⃣ We are implement automatic recovery from interrupted minting.

4️⃣ Once 1 - 3 are complete, we will be looking at optimizing gas usage for the minting process.

5️⃣ We will be giving some extra testing for frequency generation of Ultra-rare, super-rare, rare and uncommon cards to ensure rates continue to stay true to percentages on average.

6️⃣ Meanwhile, once our fixes on the backend have rolled out we can work on the front end GUI and also begin construction of our marketplace.

We plan to have the first 3 steps rolled out by end of next week 🎉

We want to ensure our Zards are able to be collected in an intuitive and smooth manner, so thank you for all the support as we work through our initial phase!
