π₯π₯π₯New voting to burn XTN
Dear community,
There is a proposal to make XTN a non issuable Waves ecosystem index token. All preissued XTN on the main Neutrino contract will be burnt. This means that no more new XTN can be issued from the contract.
What consequences will this have?
The number of coins that could potentially be in circulation will be significantly reduced. Thanks to the minersβ buyback (2 WAVES in a block) and the fact that XTN is not issuable anymore it will increase its value in the long term.
In addition, the XTN and WIND collaboration (that the community voted for recently) will lead to extra profit (fees) for liquidity providers, i.e. for the Neutrino protocol.
What will happen to XTN that will be purchased from the market by miners?
These XTN will go back to the contract. They will not gonna be burnt. In the future, it will be used for SURF reimbursement. This way SURF has become even more meaningful in a bright future.

Soon the protocol will start buying from the public markets the missing tokens using WAVES from the Neutrino reserves. This process will be performed step by step starting with 1/4 part of the treasury to reduce risks. VIRES and WX will be invested from the Neutrino reserves, and NSBT, L2MP, POWER, PLUTO, XTN, EGG, and PUZZLE will be bought from the market.

The Neutrino DAO is considering a proposal to use XTN treasury to receive extra profits for Neutrino protocol by investing Neutrino funds to the Waves Index (WIND) liquidity pool.
This move aims to resolve the underutilization of XTN treasury funds, allowing them to earn trading fees from the WIND pool.
The DAO will play a crucial role in decisions regarding the profits of the newly acquired LP tokens.

On Jan 12 the 1st era of Neutrino DAO is coming to an end. As stated earlier, Neutrino Crypto DeFi Index (NCDI) project will be launched on the ETH network.
Unfortunately, the R&D process takes longer than the original plan. 3 months are not enough to build a proper infrastructure and launch the project in the new network, so the development will continue in the next sprint.
For the users who maintain 100% of their $POWER token staked for the next sprint, we will distribute 62 $POWER proportionally to the users' staked POWER.

A quick update on what's Neutrino team has been recently up to.
We've been into a rather time-consuming process of researching data and analyzing various business scenarios for the upcoming Neutrino Crypto DeFi Index (NCDI) project.
π Based on the results of RND and our model prototyping, we made a decision to launch the project directly on the ETH network.π
In the meantime, we already started designing and building up the related infrastructure, while simultaneously doing business development for the project.
