$WBTC on Kava EVM is now LIVE on Binance! π
BitGo has chosen Kava Chain as the $WBTC hub for Cosmos - available on Binance now.
We are excited to inform you that the Kava Labs engineering team has deployed the BEP3 migration, which is now live on the Kava app. Please note that WalletConnect still hasnβt been upgraded to V2 on the Kava app, so a Trust Wallet connection might not work for some users, especially users with Android devices.
You can use Cosmos-compatible and EVM-compatible wallets, such as Keplr and MetaMask, to bridge your BEP3 assets to the Binance Smart Chain.
We are developing a walkthrough guide that will soon be available on the Help Center. However, in the meantime, the instructions on the Kava app should be able to guide you to relevant bridge links as expected. Otherwise, please feel free to ask for help in the group (Please be aware of scammers and imposters) or contact Cameron directly.
The bridging route for BEP3 assets on Kava Cosmos Co-Chain, which can be transferred to Kava EVM Co-Chain and then finally to Binance Smart Chain. Similarly, assets can be bridged from the Binance Smart Chain to the Kava EVM Co-Chain and then to the Kava Cosmos Co-Chain. However, if you want to transfer BUSD, it must first be bridged to Ethereum instead of Binance Smart Chain from Kava EVM.

BEP2 KAVA <> Native KAVA Swap Announcement (π¨Last Reminder π¨)
Please note that the following instructions apply to users with BEP2 KAVA tokens on the Beacon chain, and they cannot be swapped for native KAVA or other assets.
Kava Labs will facilitate a swap for users who hold BEP2 KAVA tokens. Please read the instructions carefully:
- If the holding value of a user's BEP2 KAVA tokens is less than $600, they can send them to a specific address with transaction hash, and Kava Labs will reimburse them with KAVA tokens. Please contact Cameron for more information on the deposit address and transaction hash.
- The user must complete the KYC process if the holding value exceeds $600. For more information and instructions on the KYC process, please contact Cameron.
- It's important to note that this swap only applies to anyone holding 5,000 or fewer BEP2 KAVA tokens. If you have more than that, please contact Cameron.
- You can proceed with this swap if your BEP2 KAVA matches this token address: https://explorer.bnbchain.org/asset/KAVA-10C.
- This swap will last until the BNB Beacon Chain is permanently shut down (the ideal deadline is June 1st, 2024, depending on the status of the BNB Beacon Chain being shut down).
The Kava team has an important update on the progress of BEP3 asset bridging functionality.
The code for decimal support has been released, and app.kava.io is back operational. BEP3 transfers, which stopped working on April 15th, are still the first step in updating the new bridge workflow.
The next step involves a migration on Binance's end. This migration, which was not possible to complete before the Kava 16 upgrade, is expected to be finalized by either April 28th or April 30th, according to Binance's estimates.
Once this migration is complete, the Kava team will proceed with the final configuration, including coordinating with Axelar for asset setup and going live with the new bridge.
The Kava team deeply appreciates your patience and understanding as they work on the BEP3 bridging functionality.
Also, please note that Trust Wallet's WalletConnect V2 is currently in the works and will take up to a week or two to be upgraded on the Kava app.
The Kava 16 Mainnet Upgrade is complete! π
The Kava app and blockchain are now fully operational. Please reach out to Cameron if you find any bugs on the Kava app.

The Kava 16 Mainnet Upgrade is currently in progress. The chain upgrade is expected to take up to an hour to complete. As a result, the Kava app has been put in maintenance mode.
Once the chain upgrade is finished, the Kava app will be thoroughly tested to ensure everything works correctly. During this time, the app may be temporarily unavailable. Please be assured that your assets will remain secure and unaffected throughout this process.
However, please be aware that the testing process may take up to 30 minutes. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

BEP3 Deprecation Timeline Update
Please note this announcement applies to users holding BNB, BTCB, BUSD, or XRPB on the Kava IBC chain.
- On April 15th, HTLT transactions and BEP3 transfers between Kava Chain and BNB Beacon Chain will be paused.
- If you wish to transfer your BEP3 assets to the BNB Beacon Chain, it's important to do so before April 15th. However, please rest assured that your assets are secure on the Kava Chain until the upgrade is completed, estimated on April 24th.
- Following the pause of HTLT transactions and BEP3 transfers on April 15th, the Kava Chain will be upgraded, allowing for the migration of BEP3 assets from the BNB Beacon Chain to the Binance Smart Chain. This is estimated to take place on April 24th.
- On April 24th, the asset migration from the BNB Chain will be performed, and BEP3 assets will be migrated to the Binance Smart Chain. Kava Chain asset holders can withdraw BNB, BTCB, XRP, and BUSD to the Binance Smart Chain.
- Once all necessary information is gathered, a guide with technical details and steps to withdraw BEP3 assets from the Kava app will soon be available. You may direct message Cameron if you have any questions.
