🚀 Our Digital Land has already covered the whole planet, and now we are starting a new stage of the project development - taking over individual territories!
Each city that has entered the metareality zone will undergo a complete digital transformation. On its streets will be laid virtual tourist routes with 3D-reconstructions of historical buildings and events, futuristic art objects, interactive exhibitions, shows and quests.
📯 And, of course, each meta-city will have its own mayor - the all-powerful representative of Arcona in the real world. He will be in charge of all virtual business on the spot: selling tickets to AR attractions, promoting loyalty programs, renting advertising space and digital land in his domain!

The initiative of Metareality City has already been supported by the administrations of several cities, representatives of the tourism and hospitality industry. In partnership with them we are starting to develop new territories.
🪇 The pilot launch will take place next week in one of the resort towns. Tourists and locals will plunge into the magical world of augmented reality for the first time and join the treasure hunt in the lands of Arcona. Prizes from the local mayor await especially venturesome treasure hunters.

💥 A new example of the incredible bundle of XR and artificial intelligence!
⛩ In early May, China's famous Yingxian Pagoda, the tallest wooden pagoda in the world, got a digital twin. The AI created it in just 10 hours.
If such a structure had been modeled by 3D artists, the work would have dragged on for many months. Imagine, an ancient temple 66 meters high, which is almost 23 floors, with a unique and very complex architecture.
🏯 Now the ancient monument can be studied in all details in XR helmets, you can “climb” to the very top and see the features of the unique design. The thing is that the original pagoda, built back in 1056, is now very dilapidated and visitors are not allowed above the second floor.
So how was the digital twin born?
Sounds simple enough: drones were used to take detailed footage, then AI analyzed that data and created a 3D model, restoring lost fragments.

🔥 Arcona team reached the finals of MITT Travel Start - the leading competition of tourism and hospitality innovations.
It takes place on the platform of the international exhibition MITT, which has been held in Moscow for 30 years and is one of the 5 largest and most respected travel forums on the planet.
This year the jury focused on services for creating individual itineraries and independent travel. Out of 65 announced projects, the finalists were 10 of those that offered the most vivid and convenient solutions for those who like to travel without the help of agencies.
🌐 Arcona XR Metaverse presented its concept of digital transformation of tourism infrastructure. AR tours for users are always a new exciting experience from quite familiar places, monuments and museums, and most importantly an aid in navigation and convenient access to important information. But the formation of a global AR environment gives additional advantages to businesses as well. These are opportunities to generate new unique attractions, visualize products and services, and attract new active tourists.

🔥 It was 10 years ago that our team launched the world's first full-fledged augmented reality park. We made a virtual reconstruction of the Livonian Order castle in the tiny Latvian town of Ludza.
Those were the wild times, when Pokémon were not running on the streets yet, and there were no such tools as ARKit or ARCore. So our developers had to invent everything themselves, right on the spot. We experimented a lot, tried different technical approaches, tested all the solutions that existed at that time. It was then that the first developments were made, which became the basis for our methodology of remote content positioning, and then our own SDK Arcona Core.
Our reconstruction artists also had a hard time! Ludza castle was completely destroyed in the XVII century, and there is very little information about its history and appearance.
Imagine a high hill above the lake, on top of which stands a small piece of brick wall... This is all that remains of the once powerful crusader fortress. We gathered information from local historians and archaeologists. Some details had to be created simply by analogy with Livonian fortresses of the same period. We even had to specially write out old books from Poland, in old German with engravings of castles. But we managed to cope with the Old German as well, and a majestic castle grew back in Ludza!
In the first month our app was viewed by almost 30 thousand tourists, although about 5 thousand people live in Ludza itself. People spent hours walking around the castle mountain and were absolutely delighted. Local restaurateurs and owners of souvenir shops then appreciated all the advantages of innovative technologies.
And then, German archeologists came to the ruins of the castle and as a result of excavations confirmed all our guesses. So, in Polish archives it was mentioned that there was a large stable for a hundred horses on the castle territory. We debated for a long time where it could have been, and chose the most convenient and logical place for it. It was there that scientists discovered the foundations of this building. Our reconstruction was found to be absolutely authentic and is now on display at the local history museum.
The world of technology has changed dramatically in the past ten years! Now you - digital archaeologists and reconstructors - have all the tools to realize your ideas. Today on the Arcona platform you can organize your own AR park literally in a day. And our team is always ready to help.
